  • BRIAND Sylvie
    Dr Briand is currently Director of the Pandemic and Epidemic Diseases department (PED) in the Health Security and Environment Cluster (HSE) at World Health Organisation - Headquarter in Geneva.
    PED develops mechanism to address epidemic diseases under the International Health Regulations thereby reducing their impact on affected populations and limiting their international spread. PED portfolio includes Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Framework (PIP F), a number of disease control programmes such as influenza, cholera, plague, meningitis, smallpox, Ebola, yellow fever and Chikungunya, as well as a number of technical experts networks such as Emerging and Dangerous pathogens Network (EDPLN) , Global influenza Surveillance and Response System( GISRS), Emerging Diseases Clinical assessment and Response Network (EDCARN), Global Infection Prevention and control Network (GIPCN).
    She was head of the Global Influenza Programme (GIP) during the H1N1 2009 pandemic.
    She joined WHO in 2001 initially working as a medical officer in the Global Task Force on Cholera Control. Then, from 2004 to June 2007, she has been leading the Yellow Fever (YF) Programme including the management of the global YF vaccine stockpile for emergency and the Yellow Fever Initiative funded by the GAVI Alliance.

    Hélène Lepetit est co-fondatrice de l'Institut des Mamans ("IDM"), un institut d'étude spécialisé sur la cible des mères, des enfants et des familles. Hélène étudie les comportements santé, et les comportements digitaux des mères depuis 2000. Elle a réalisé de nombreuses études sur la vaccination en particulier le baromètre Vaccinoscopie©, une étude annuelle depuis 2008, permettant de suivre et d'analyser les comportements et attitudes des mères et les couvertures vaccinales des enfants.
